Lumix G3 gets its first workout in Los Angeles

It was my pleasure to be the photographer for the wedding of Annabel Wright & Philip Bulcock.

I found that this camera/lens performed well under the bright LA light and sharp cutting shadows. The body weight and lens balance is near perfect, so no need for a tripod. Which meant that I could move around freely gathering the all important couple and family shots, plus leaving me free for lots of ad-lib capturing.

Main tip – also remember to take your lens cap off!!

Mo Henry and I have just won David Mamet‘s adaptation of the Phil Spector trial for HBO, starring Al Pacino and Helen Mirren.

I snapped it up!

Samy’s on Fairfax LA is a must for me and yes I have come out of the store with the very sexy and new Lumix G3 from Panasonic in my hand. An exciting weekend is now in prospect, putting this camera up to my ‘eye’ for the first time.
