Tamara Drew title sequence

Tamara Drew starring Gemma Arterton was perhaps one of the most anticipated films in the summer. The film was well received in the UK with a lot of good publicity and I had a pleasure to design its title sequence.

The project is a good example of a title sequence that has completely evolved during the creative process. Typeface became the ultimate hero of the sequence.

Here are the final frames for the film:

Watch the title sequence (note: no sound):

I had the chance to explain the creative methodology behind this project to fellow creatives and students at the Typographical Circle event.

(Note: my voice is distorted due to low sound quality of the recording)

Working on Tamara Drewe reunited me once again with film director Stephen Frears and film editor Mick Audsley. I previously worked with them on High Fidelity starring John Cusack and created this title sequence.
