New updated website goes live today!

Dean and I have been working on updating the website for the last month, and I am really excited to announce it’s now alive and kicking.

Aware of the latest trends in web development, we have built the site in html 5 and css 3. We have used video coding in the html pages that embeds 3 different types of video, to suit viewing via the iPad or the latest browsers (Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Explorer). The site has also been designed to compliment the iPads dimensions.

We hope you like… please visit richard-morrison.co.uk and let us know what you think?

Welcome to the Punch

Without pulling any punches, I am pleased to announce that I have been commissioned to design the title sequence for Eran Creevy’s upcoming film Welcome to the Punch. It reunites me with the film’s executive producer Ridley Scott who I have had the pleasure to work with on previous occasions (Someone to Watch Over Me).

Welcome to the Punch, written and directed by Eran Creevy, is my first collaboration with the director and is due to be released in 2012.

Welcome to the Punch

Starring James McAvoy and Mark Strong, it’s a classic detective and criminal thriller in which both characters have to work together to get what they want. Former criminal Jacob Sternwood is forced to return to London when his son gets involved in a heist gone wrong. This gives detective Max Lewinsky one last chance to catch the man he has always been after. As they face off, they start to uncover a deeper conspiracy they both need to solve in order to survive.

I’m currently putting together the first stages, so stay tuned for further updates or find out more about the film here.

With the budget for the ‘bulbs’, I set about making up the rig with D.O.P Dan Lumb. The rig is apply named the ‘giro – lump’ which means when rigged, we can shot 360 degrees moves without seeing the rig.

The camera is a 7d with an 18mm lens.

…to you all at Tiff Bell Lightbox, for such a warm reception. It certainly made a great end to my week meeting you all. With the added bonus of seeing your latest exhibition ‘Grace’, which lives up to her name in style and design with a twist of modern charm.
